Swirl type Cyclone Aerator
Swirl type cyclone aerator is a new type diffuser with Impeller Type, Mushroom Type and Umbrella Type, represents a new generation of high-efficiency aeration equipment. It offers numerous advantages, including a large service area, low resistance, stable and reliable operation,clog-free performance, and a long service life.
Ⅰ.General Introduction
Swirl type cyclone aerator is mainly composed of four parts: outer cylinder, air inlet pipe, backflow plate and wedge-shaped structure. The entire body is made of nylon 66 + glass fiber (PA66+GF) material, possessing superior mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Ⅱ.Features
(1) Special construction, never clogs: During operation, the large flow rate of compressed air prevents the air-liquid mixer from clogging. Suitable for all high-concentration wastewater treatment tanks.
(2) Strong mixing force, no sludge accumulation: Creates a strong mixing effect throughout the aeration tank, keeping the activated sludge in suspension and preventing sludge accumulation at the bottom of the aeration tank.
(3) Low pressure loss, low energy consumption, energy saving: Very low pressure loss, resulting in low energy consumption for the blower under the same air supply conditions. Operates year-round without clogging, with no decrease in dissolved oxygen efficiency and no sludge accumulation; highly efficient and energy-saving (saving more than 25% of electricity), with a single unit aeration area of 4-12 ㎡;
(4) Maintenance-free, long lifespan: The air-liquid mixer has no moving parts, is robust and durable, requires no maintenance, and has a service life of more than 10 years.
(5) Stable performance: The oxygen supply capacity does not decrease with increasing usage time, maintaining a stable DO value in the tank.
(6) No fixed installation is required at the bottom of the pool, maintenance is very convenient, no need to clean the pool or stop production.
III. Operating Principle
AirMMax newly developed cyclone aerator is a highly efficient air-liquid mixer designed based on fluid dynamics principles. A large flow of compressed air is directly introduced into the air-liquid mixer through a large-diameter air supply pipe.
Inside the mixer, the airflow, spiraling upwards through a guide, encounters wedge-shaped elements within the mixer and is broken into micro bubbles. These micro bubbles then fully mix with the absorbed liquid within the mixer before being spirally ejected out, forming a circulating flow around the mixer. This increases the residence time of the micro bubbles in the water, thus significantly improving oxygen utilization and ensuring optimal mixing and maximum residence time for the supplied air and activated sludge in the tank.

VI. Installation
Cyclone aerator is widely installed using a installation method of Suspended Type.
Suitable for scenarios where bottom construction is inconvenient (such as the renovation of existing deep tanks). The aerator is suspended in the lower part of the tank using ropes or brackets.
- Installation Steps: Fix the suspension frame to the top or wall of the tank. Connect the aerator with steel wire rope or nylon rope. Adjust the suspension height according to the design water depth to ensure the aerators are on the same horizontal plane.
- Key requirement: Anti-sway device must be installed to prevent position displacement caused by water flow impact during aeration.
